1. The objective of the training
This specialty leads to the training of specialists capable to organize, administer and control a research or study site. They act upstream of the extractive industries of oil and gas industry

Work independently or collaborate in a team; Analyze and synthesize professional document (French, English); Communicate orally, in writing, in company or outside (French, English); Participate in a project management process; Know and exploit the professional and institutional networks of oil and gas sectors.
Specific skills
Contribute to the development of the technical file of a study;
Participate in administrative, social and legal procedures;
Participate in the elaboration of the estimate of an operation from the
technical file;
Contribute to the physical preparation of a construction site;
Have the installation skill of a construction site ;
Have the work done in accordance with the specifications;
Ensure the smooth running and good management of the site.
B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering top up
1. Rationale
A key source of energy is oil and natural gases. Efficient recovery of these resources requires
Petroleum Engineers with a sound knowledge of fundamentals and latest technological
developments relevant to this field. The mission of the Petroleum Engineering education is to
produce graduates who can not only satisfy the current needs of the Cameroonian petroleum
industry, but are also able to develop indigenous technologies.
2. Goal
I. To equip the graduates with job-oriented knowledge, skills and perception through sound
fundamentals and petroleum engineering practices.
II. Develop an understanding and comprehension of regional energy resources and their use.
III. Instil in the graduate’s high ethical standards and practices.
IV. Develop critical thinking in the graduates so that they are able to identify and solve new
problems.
V. Develop effective communication skills and ability to work in teams.
